I am aware of all that but i asked the question because I wonder what our commitment to those people actually is. If we were serious we must shoulder most of the cost to rebuild their infrastructure and educate a whole generation of their people. If we are not willing to pay that price the nation will revert to warlords and chaos and will accept any dictator that accumulates enough power. I would hate to see another saddam rise out of those ashes. As for Iraq if we abandon the Kurds both in and out of Iraq to expediency we will have shown the world that our moral cause was just a lie.
