There has been no better "defender" of Saddam than the US. They pump "proof" to the UN and it turns out to be duds. The UN inspectors have been to some 800 sites, many never inspected before and given by the US as places of WMD and there's nothing there.

OK JLA, where is the evidence that Iraq has any nuclear weapons? Even the Bush Administration has given up on that one. They drag us into a military confrontation with a phony charge that Iraq will use nuclear weapons. Now, it turns out they are not even close to have one.
