You are still not getting the point. If, then, Iraq allied with such a group earlier, why not now?

Probably would, and so would Russia and so would the US and so would Israel and so would Germany and so would Syria, and Iran, and North Korea, if the Ukraine has any material left, it would probably get dumped it on the market in a wink, and so on....

I will absolutely agree that Iraq should be disarmed and by military means if necessary. That would be justice...but it must be seen by the world to be justice.

One year ago there were some 100,000 Al Qaeda. That's plenty enough for me. I don't want 200,000 or 500,000 Al Quaeda and I sure as hell don't want 500 million Muslims sending money around the globe to fund Al Qaeda.

To a lot of the world it looks like we are trying to frame Iraq...true or not...that's what it looks like. You disarm Iraq in these circumstances it doesn't act as a deterrent, it empowers terrorist groups. It gives them a cause.

And WMD...in a few years, a good bio-chemist will be able to manufacture the stuff in a garage from scratch. They won't even need a starting virus. Scientists have already created a virus from scratch...it's just a few years.
