Jacob,
I agree. But we still will disagree on particular policies on particular situations. I just dont view iraq, korea, pre-emption as violations of our principles. I see them as affirmations. Jacob, you have locked yourself in a box with neat quotes and a particular historical theory, but the real world is what it is. Guns are still necessary. All men are created equal even koreans and palestinians--you know me well enough to know i believe this so your inference sort of annoys me.
But what of the iraqi people--leave them under saddam, or al quaida--stop killing them so they can attack again. And who should be atty general John Aschcrof or the exalted janet reno, killer of children in waco. Your views are in stone and neatly arranged but wrong. My world is chaotic and my views shift and i stay out of traps, intellectual traps especially. Beware the man with the button down mind where everygthing is a neat fit. Winters over here--60s by sunday. mike
