Ish,
Big story if true. On sunday after the summit what will be said? Does Blair really have the balls for this? I am betting the UN resolution is withdrawn and Iraq gets the two minute warning. If we are going to go to war, each day we wait endangers our troops. If we really believe in no more vietnams, we certainly dont want to do that.
Perhaps a brief communique with a dig at the french who really made a peaceful solution less possible than it might have been, if saddam really could have been scared straight. A real long shot for a voluntary exit now--he probably expects the french to send troops to help him. But a feet first exit is always possible if our operatives reached the right folks. Still hoping for a peaceful outcome. mike
