Paul,

I got halved with along with you on CPC. I'm still holding
mine and I actually think it's worth what it's selling for now. Should've sold when we discussed it several months ago, but for some reason I just sat there holding on even
after my opinion of the stock had changed.

Shane

Paul,

Do you know how Tilson calculated high teens ROE on IPK (ref. article back in 2001, which I found going back through "Buffetology" links starting from your post), while

quicken.com

shows only 1-2% ROE?

Regarding CPC: what happened in 1998 that dropped ROE to 0, which recovered only to 10% in recent years? It looks from brief glance that company just went after low margin business to continue revenue expansion:

quicken.com

The question is then: will CPC ROE ever get back to teens? Why? ROE drop in bubble years of 1998-99-2K concerns me more than a such a drop would in last two years.
