Yes it does.......and had I said it, you would have pointed it out. No it doesn't and no I wouldn't have. At most (if I was sure that it wasn't over a million which I am not) I would have said something like "it was in the lower end of that range". Do you mean D. Ray? If so, its not literally true DRay? Ok, I must have been distracted for a minute, and then once I posted "Joe" I just continued with Joe. Less than 500k. Your sure about that? Including all the indirect deaths, like the claimed massive amount of people dieing in Iraq now and ever since the sanctions started? You tell that to Italy, Macedonia and Greece. I doubt that they thought that Mislosevic presented a large threat to them. He couldn't even conquer Slovenia and Croatia. If so, why did the European nations sanction NATO to address the problem over the objections of Russia? For humanitarian reasons and to avoid having to take care of refugees. The double standard is that you criticized me for exaggerating because you don't agree with my argument but you ignored D. Ray's because you do agree with his statement. I don't even think your statement was exaggeration, it was just outright false, while the specific statement you claimed was an exaggeration by DRay, I said nothing about because I am not sure that it is an exaggeration, and if it is, it is not a wild one. In other cases in the past when I was sure DRay was saying something false or wildly exaggerate I did take him to task for it. But even if I am not 100% even handed, so what. I am not the thread cop or in any position of authority over any one here. Even if this discussion was on the thread I created I would not ban or threaten to ban anyone for anything that has been said here, and its not on that thread its on this one. If I take one side of the argument and you take the other it's no skin off of your back, when you participate in a political discussion the other side is going to point out your mistakes, that's life. Why is it a double standard if I don't call something an exaggeration when I see it as true? I may be wrong, I may be right, but either way my standards are consistent. Tim
