Michael, I don't think it helps any of us to continue this conversation but your post deserves some sort of serious response from me. It is my impression that I read those kinds of posts far more often than daily on this thread. That is posts for which the thesis is that those of us who oppose the invasion are heartless because we ignore the suffering of the Iraqis. It has been one of the basic forms of argumentation. It is certainly a constant of the television fare. I watched Ron Silver make that same argument to both Bianca Jagger and Bill Maher. Frankly, I think that's a different form of an argument from Steven's very mild plea. So, you didn't need to type that comment. It's been around, a great deal.
