Pezz, the USA can get its hands on Iraqi oil any time they like. All they have to do is place an order with Saddam who will deliver all they like. I thought most people knew, but the USA put sanctions on Iraq over a decade ago, to stop them exporting oil. In recent years, there has been an "Oil for food and medicines" export regime. Saddam has been wanting to be allowed to supply oil all along. There's no need to steal it to get it if the USA is happy to pay the going rate.

The USA doesn't want Iraqi oil on the market. That keeps oil prices up high enough to maintain extremely profitable USA and other high-cost producer profits. Saudi Arabia agrees not to produce too much - with Iraq's oil off the market, it helps keep prices up, keeping Saudi Arabia happy too.

North Korea is part of the China versus USA strategic competition. That'll be dealt with later. No big hurry.
