Everyone is for taking out Saddam. Just not alone without smart, unified strategy. Only fools rush in. Unilaterialism will cost US lives. Maybe a lot of them. It will also cost a lot more $$$. Common sense says we build a better coalition first. Saddam is no threat in the meantime.

If Blair faces and welcomes with knowing calm the threathened resignations should they occur, then when the show is over he may be stronger than ever. Given that the only difference between 75% and 25% of Britians being in favor of war on Iraq is the existence or lack of a "2nd resolution", I suspect victory will satisfy 75% of Britians quite jolly well enough.
