This year is starting to look eerily like last year.

With the Nasdaq bumping up against the 50 and 200 day moving averages, it seems unlikely this little rally will be sustained. Another day or two continuation of the uptrend with a minor penetration of the moving averages will probably send the timing model into 100% cash.

It is currently looking like we are going to see the opposite of what happened in 1991. When the war starts we might see the market head down instead of up (perhaps a quick pop first?). My forecast for 2003 of a 10% Nasdaq gain is not looking so good at this point.
