>>>What does fighting the Nazis have to do with anything?<<<

A PROBLEM FROM HELL

"shows how those who urged U.S. action were thwarted again and again by ignorance, indifference, and above all, a failure of imagination."

"Power shows how decent Americans inside and outside government looked away from mass murder by convincing themselves that refugees were lying, that intervention would be futile or that contemporary genocides did not measure up to the crime they said they would 'never again' permit."

Your notions of "blame it on the Jews" is excatly what the Nazis did. Your theory that Jews control foreign policy(espoused by Buchanan & his extreme right cronies) is ludicrous & repugnant. The Nazis made the same arguments in the 1930s using the Jews as as scapegoats for their economic woes.

US Jews as a group are far more supportive of the Democratic party(the party that promoted containment) than the Republicans.

You sound like ripe material for a racist group(if you are not already a member). The removal af a dictator(our motives are economic & a desire to change the Arab world) has nothing to do with the Jewish lobby. Most US Jews live in NYC & California(both places where the populations are generally opposed to war). I'm in favor of removing Hussein because I know that a Democratic state in the Arab world benefits us.
