"Monsanto Moves to Control Water Resources & Fish Farming in India & the
Third World "
By Vandana Shiva

Over the past few years, Monsanto, a chemical firm, has positioned itself as
an agricultural company through control over seed - the first link in the
food chain. Monsanto now wants to control water, the very basis of life.

On March 16 , 10,000 participants will meet in Japan for the third
World Water Forum and there will be all sorts of doom and gloom presented.
What about this information? Please comment on this.

There are still enormous, untapped supplies in underground
aquifers—perhaps 500 times as much as in all the world’s rivers...

It is wise for us to remember that people can be controlled by
controlling their food AND water supplies.

Many times corporations create shortages, or perceived shortages
so they can control the distribution, i.e. a perfect example is oil. The
price is controlled by the amount they wish in distribution. Water could be
the same.

Clappers, Thanks for the article.

Yes, water is going to become a mighty precious commodity. I'm sure that future wars will fought over water rights.

Places like Las Vegas and Phoenix are truly obscene when you consider the water resources that are consumed in the heart of some of the driest places on earth. I wonder how long such places can be sustainable.

Thanks for your offer of assistance on the well projects..I WILL get back to you on that!
