you make me feel ill

I don't believe you. I think you realize as well as I do that the current mockery of things French is a reaction against the current anti-American policies of the French government. And it's actually a way of expressing frustration which avoids or reduces anger and hostility.

Now it so happens one of my great-grandparents came from a family descended from people who came from Quebec and settled in the Mississippi Valley back in the 1700's. Now you can probably guess where that set of ancestors came from before Quebec yet as you see mockery of the French is no problem for me. And it shouldn't be a big deal for you.

But if you really feel ill, I suggest trying to develop your sense of humor. And don't read any further.

What's the difference between today and 1943?
Now, the Vichy government is telling the German puppets what to do.

Did you know French tanks have 6 gears, 5 reverse and 1 forward.  The forward gear is for just in case they're attacked from behind.
