It wasn't the re-counts, though that was scandalous too. Especially the gang of GOP thugs intimidating the re-counters in Dade so they couldn't do their work on time. No, 57,700 mostly legal voters secretly were scrubbed from the voter rolls by Jeb and Harris using a GOP-linked consulting firm which purposely did not cross-check names but just cut them. Why? Because they were minorities and democrats and had similar names and birth-dates as out-of-state felons. Even though there's no law in Florida that out-of-state ex-felons cant vote. Therefore if your name is Joe Smith and you were born around the same date as a Texas ex-felon your name was automatically scrubbed without checking if you were that ex-felon. And even if you were you should have been allowed to vote. But not in Jebster country. After the elections, and after many legal voters were not allowed to vote, the NAACP sued Jeb and won an out-of-court settlement. They scrubbed 90,000 similar votees during the McBride election but now cannot do this again in Florida, though the GOP is doing it in other states they control. The mainstream media and Democrats chose not to make this an issue, though even the GOP consulting firm admitted they made a big "mistake" costing Gore at least 8,000 votes. gregpalast.com cracked the story and did the hard research. He's with the BBC but is American. It's the real thing. In an extremely close election made the difference. The coup d'etat I talk about also includes the Bushies phony energy crisis which started as Bush got nominated and ended the day Jeffords switched parties. It gave Bush-Cheney (the oil team) a phony issue they could hit Gore with. They promised to "fix" the energy crisis. But they fixed the election and fixed us instead. Bush also made a lot of phony campaign promises but that's not illegal. And yes Gore was a lousy candidate too. If he had won one more state the Bushies wouldn't have gotten away with it. Helps to have your brother as Gov of the state that decided it though. No denying that. Dont worry, I'm focused on 2004. But people in Europe got this voter roll news story. We didn't. May be one reason they consider Bush less legitimate that Americans.
