I'll have to take a pass on reading Powers for much of the day, today. Errands, family stuff, the living of life, intervenes. Perhaps I'll take a look tonight or, if I forget, I'll read it in Sunday's Times tomorrow.

Having failed to make the case for war convincingly, to anyone but Americans, the Administration still has a chance to make that case, after the war. To do that, they can lay out on a table, in front of the cameras, the hardware of WMD, and then say, "this missile component was bought from China, and these parts for constructing nuclear bombs came from France, and this equipment for biological-weapons came from Germany." If they can't do that, the current global consensus that it was an illegitimate war, will stand unchanged.
