My ideal solution is 1. make a decisive move into Iraq with the British and Australians etc...... destroy and eliminate any resemblance of the Baath party or any other fundamental Islamist movement including Wahhabism 2. Bring on board (on the ground) all the other sympathetic nation like Italy Portugal, CEEC (Central Eastern European Counries), and other silent supporters. 3. Keep ALL arab nations at bay and more so Iran, Saudi Arabia and the UN 4. Try to establish a democratic federation with the recognition of all minorities. 5. Keep military presence with cost covered by oil revenue to separate between minorities old rivalries 6. If Federation does not work try to establish more independent states were possible 7. Enact a "Marshal Plan" and copy the deployment of forces as it was in Europe and Japan (Keep in mind we succeeded there no reason not to succeed in the ME) 8 Be patient and wait a few years (US forces are stationed in Europe S. Korea or Japan for over 50 years ..... move them from there to CEEC and ME). 9. Iran Mullahs will fall to Iranian Western oriented forces 10. Saudi Clan will be deposed and 2 or 3 emerging new states will arise from the Arab Peninsula 11. Most arab states will grudgingly move toward more democracy 12. Cut Turkey & Syria to it's size and establish Kurdish Armenian Assyrian & other Christian states. The whole process will take 5 to 10 years which are an eye blink in history of civilized world. Or in other words be a LONG TERM INVESTOR ...... and BTW this will also solve the pension funds issue <GGG> who will suport this ? ...... just ask some minorities in the US what they think (Armenians, Kurds Assyrians, Maronaties etc. go to their websites)
