Yes. 500k is being generous 500k is not the upper end in my opinion, if you are counting all the deaths. I figure its from close to 500k on the low end to over a million on the high end, maybe a couple of million if you really count everything and take the highest estimates for each situation. (I really doubt it is that high though) Obviously, you agree with most of D.Ray's premises and few of mine. I have no problem with that but don't single me out for errors in posting if you're not going to point them out for everyone. I have disagreed with DRay mroe then once. As far as pointing out errors and wild claims, thats part of the conversation. Your basically telling me to shut up and accept anything you say. "Without stability in its Southeastern part, there can be no peace in Europe as a whole. Only if you define "peace in Europe as a whole" to mean no fighting or lack of stability anywhere in Europe. Yes. 500k is being generous. Saddam is so stupid he likes to brag and exaggerate his killings. The more dead, the bigger man, or so he thinks. It is unbelievable you're still arguing this point. Was it a million? Or was it 100,000? Why, in hell, does it matter? At some point, you kill enough innocent people, and you are evil. Whether that number is 1, 10, 100, 1,000, 1,000,000, or 10,000,000 doesn't matter. Saddam is just as evil as Hitler. He is just as evil as Pol Pot. The idiocy of trying to argue that Saddam is not very evil is absurd. You are or you aren't. There is no "somewhat evil".
