This war diverts voters from seeing the real problem which is Bush's horrible domestic failures. In that sense, the war is a deliberate diversion, Saddam a convenient Boogie Man blown out of proportion and I would not be surprised if Bush starts another war next year. Perhaps his only chance to keep dominating media coverage, cover up scandals and corruption, pose as patriotic and eke out an election win in 2004 by turning just enough people into mindless sheep, despite the worst domestic performance since Herbert Hoover and a reckless foreign policy as well.
