In what may be the most disrespectful and despicable act since
the start of the anti-war movement months ago, anti-war
protesters ravaged a 9-11 memorial that is along a privately
owned fence, and meticulously maintained by citizens of
Whittier, California.

In addition to destroying the 9-11 memorial, protesters also
ripped apart and burning dozens of flags, and glued a Bob Dylan
antiwar anthem to a sign that said, "America, land of the brave,
home of the free."

"It's unbelievable," said Tracey Chandler, a Whittier mother of four who helped maintain the memorial. "There were absolutely no political messages on this fence. It was all about supporting our troops, which could mean bringing them home, and about remembering 9-11."
