I don't buy this mugsy-type union mentality about "working" people. As someone who has worked in factories as a teen and who was in the Army and later returned to college for a professional desk job, I can tell you that you don't know what you are talking about in criticizing professionals who don't work with their hands. Most successful white collar workers work their asses off to succeed and it's hard work.

The difference is this: white collar workers work with their brains and they can easily do and possess the limited skills of a blue collar worker while most blue collar workers couldn't even come close to doing the job (because they lack the smarts and people skills and managerial skills)that most white collar workers. I've been on both sides and the work for both is equally hard, but in different ways.
