patron, interesting.

Fwiw the last count I did and posted, which was basically since first of yr., reflects this count.

However I've been sitting here today, redoing it, thinking it invalid.

The alternative to this count that most appear to show is about just the opposite of this count - and that is that the big (1) has probably just ended. Per this more bearish outlook the C down shown in this count would then be the beginning of a major correction.

Confused!!

Most of the charts per standard TA look like chit.

My plan is to watch this rebound in progress and watch the fibs on the retrace (of this C).

About the only positive in the last several weeks is that the indices rebounded when POG tanked. Was it just a technical thing or were there reasons? The COTS look better if you place any stock in those, but still not great.

What do patron and anejo mean?

patron,

My conjecture on the price action in gold is the large speculators knew the Bank of Canada was going to or was selling gold. Until these banksters quit selling gold the large speculator will let them sell at low prices. <g>

patron, That chart doesn't look anything like the GFI chart. What is it?

In general, I don't like goldshares here. Haven't like 'em since they broke out of the channel begun in late 2000, about 2-1/2 weeks ago.

Here is GFI from stockcharts for example:
