But in 1972, yes, the Vietnam War was SO wrong, such a lie, killing so many good men needlessly that many-many vets joined Kerry in protesting to end the war that Nixon promised to end. Kerry was a hero during the war and after the war. His leadership saved many lives and helped end the hopeless war earlier. When Kerry spoke to the Citadel last year and told of his protest against the war he received a standing ovation from the cadets and officers in attendance. The same people about to fight in Iraq now. Believe them, not Rush Limbaugh. Rush avoided the draft telling the board he had a boil on his butt. That tells you a lot about the man. Kerry is about as great a war hero as this country has. John McCain agrees. Don't demean yourself by criticizing his views on war. He took three bullets so you wouldn't have to. So Bush wouldn't have to. While Bush went AWOL and Cheney hid out, John fought, killed and took rounds. Shame on you if you repeat this medals lie again. Oh, and read the Pentagon papers for a history refresher, my friend. It was all lies, the whole Vietnam threat logic, as well as all the casualty figures the the very incident which sparked the war. That incident never happened. Dont be afraid to question authority when they're liars. Bush is now. Nixon and Johnson were then. History repeats itself sometimes. Now it is being repeated by Bush telling us Saddam has nuke program, is in league with Al Qaida, etc. Just obvious lies. The only one who will force Saddam and Al Qaida together is Bush. Our own president could therefore be the greatest threat to our security. If he handles our defense as well as he has the economy watch out.
