Still, Brumar, Saddam could do much more, be much more effective with any R&D program were it backed with 300 billion dollars, instead of the 15 billion he's got now. I mean this is a clear fact!

I think my previous post, ahed of this one, describes what's really going on. This is not a war against weapons of mass destruction. If it were one, Saddam would have complied long ago and afterwards built up such a program. Common sense tells us that.

But common sense also tells us an easy war will be a winner for Bush, his insiders who'll make money from new deals (condemning the French on a deal over natural resources is utterly absurd given the USA's history of dealmaking); and Israel would get a boost by elminating the influence from the Iraqi threat.
