There was a poll posted here that said "Blacks are heavily against the war" that's what made me think of it.

I suspect you've no clue as to what that sly old boots Mr. Twain meant. If you have studied Twain, and I'd bet you haven't, you'd know he was lampooning Americans, more than the French. He was using the stereotype of the corrupt European and the naive American (as seen in James) and satirizing it. Would you like to write me a term paper on just what Twain said about France and what it meant? If you're going to go no deeper than what is on the face of the words, you'll be getting an "F".

I'm sure it's not easy being a bigot- but it's pretty funny to see the lengths you will go to justify it.
