>>The extreme right (and I mean the REALLY extreme right) has always had a problem with Jews. Now the left-wing is coming around to their opinion. See, that supports the idea the left is moving.<<

In the anti-war camp in U.S. this time, we can see people with all kinds of political viewpoints, left, right or moderate. One obvious reason they come together to oppose the war is that they see grave consequences to the U.S. interests short and long term and the great costs for the world peace. Left or right political viewpoint for most Americans is no longer an issue in this case any more.

However, it seems relevant to me, in the Jewish community, the right-wing are the strong supporters for invading Iraq and the left or moderate are against. Why? Undeniably, many of the American right-wing Jews are the strong supporters for Sharon’s Middle East policy. One thing we all need to be clear is that the American interests and the Israel’s interests are not the same, the two things can not be mixed here. And BTW, the “greater Israel” policy the Likudniks are pursuing is a very risky policy for Israel and the Jewish people themselves in the long run, IMO.

Regards.
