IMO, there is a huge cover-up going on as we 'rush into a reckless war'...

Daniel Ellsberg -- The famous VietNam whistleblower -- recently said he was convinced that this Administration was lying us into another war we shouldn't be getting into. I wonder when the truth will come out...? The United States will face serious UNintended consequences by 'pre-emptively striking' Iraq without strong backing from the U.N. and the world community...Bush will be a 1 term president and IMO he may not finish out the term if the truth ever gets out (there possibly could be grounds for impeachment)...it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

The bottom line is CONGRESS HAS SHIRKED ITS RESPONSIBILITY BIG TIME.

***The highly regarded journalist Seymour Hersh didn't make these comments by accident the other night...

NEW YORKER COLUMNIST SY HERSH: 'NEVER SEEN MY PEERS AS FRIGHTENED'

HARVARD CRIMSON - Journalist Seymour Hersh denounced the Bush
administration's approach to Iraq last night after accepting the
Goldsmith Career Award for Excellence in Journalism at the Kennedy
School of Government's ARCO Forum. . . Hersh began his acceptance speech
by portraying the difficulties that today's reporters face, especially
in Washington. "I have never seen my peers as frightened as they are
now," Hersh said. . . Hersh then turned his attention to the impending
war with Iraq. Hersh said skepticism about a potential war is shared by
many Washington insiders. "I have never seen such dissent even with
three and four star generals. The war is particularly not popular with
the marines," Hersh said. . . . "Congress has gotten so much dumber
it's embarrassing," he said. "There has been a collapse of Congress.
It's an incredible failure. A staggering failure."

>>It is the catalyst for reallignment of global economies and future engines of prosperity. The impact will reverberate throughout this century.<<

Huh? Where exactly do you expect world growth to come from? Russia, Germany & France? Their combined 3.5T in GDP vs the 12.7T of US, UK, ITALY(not including Spain & Italy). The US consumer fuels global growth. Europe relies on the US consumer much more than we rely on them. Europe's big countries are facing population declines due to low fertility rates & lack of immigration. We not only have a stable fertility rate, but hungry immigrants. The economies of France & Germany are still bogged down with heavy welfare state disincentives.

Aamerica is a beacon of optimism. Where else are the downtrodden immigrants supposed to go? Europe won't take them.

Gimme a break with the new world order. France is gambling that there will be no longterm ramifications economically once the war is over(probably true). French business leaders are terrified. German business leaders are terrified.

In addition, the eastern bloc is terrified of a Franco-Deutsche-Moscow bloc much more than US domination. If you don't believe me, check out this article from STRATFOR:
