Thanks. Starting now. Switched from C-SPAN. BTW. when I used the word "provocative" yesterday, it was carefully chosen. Wasn't it Langhorn that said "the difference between the right word, and the almost right word , is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug". That quote's from memory, so ... Anyway provocative has not only the modern meaning of to incite or provoke, but an older meaning of to call forth. Thanks again for reminding me to switch channels. lurqer

CBS's Sunday Morning It was nice to see the PNAC mentioned. It wasn't emphasized, but was discussed. The most "gut wrenching" part for me was when R. Perle asked if the thousands protesting were wrong and he was right paused only slightly before responding "Yes!" I didn't see the confidence that comes from the careful consideration of all of the alternatives with particular emphasis on the proposals of those with opposing views. What I observed was pure blind arrogance. This behavior will never admit to making an error. When opposition to the occupation comes (and it will come), it will be labeled terrorist (just as the journalist who exposed his war profiteering was). Rather than finding some accommodation to defuse the opposition, it will be retaliated against. This will only reinforce the opposition, resulting in the occupation spiraling into nightmare.
