The actual roots of this conflict go back to US and European colonialism in the 19th Century. The diplomatic double talk in Lawerence of Arabia is pretty accurate. We've known the importance of Oil as energy for a very long time. Long enough to try to deny Germany access to that oil way back in WWI. How have they been screwing us? By trying to get top dollar for their product? Like we don't do that with our products. Sh*t that's capitalism buddy. Nope, they haven't been screwing us but they screw their own people.
