Kids think "heroic" acts, by default, have happy movie endings with nifty photo spreads like the guy stopping the tank in Tiananmen Square. Reality, however, presents some real inconveniences when you go to a combat zone and deliberately stand/fall/lie in the path of a speeding bulldozer.
