The right-wing likes to attack the manhood of people they cannot out debate. A sort of sexist homophobic thing. Ironically, the right-wing leadership includes not a single war veteran, while the Democrats and moderates leadership have many war vets and heros amongst them. From Bush to Cheney to Delay to Limbaugh, all draft-dodgers and risk-duckers, Bush even going so far as to go AWOL for more than a year, which is technically desertion. Of course Daddy got him off, but the point is the right-wing are phony macho men. They're afraid of this in themselves so they cover it up by attacking real men who happen to have not only courage but brains.
