I've held positions of "authority" over people. A good leader listens to all view and makes the best decision he can. You know someone isn't going to be happy with your decisions. You're between a rock and a hard place and it's not fun.

From my own experience, I agree it's not fun. My experience also said that, in reality, I worked for them rather than they for me. Spent most of my time trying to remove impediments that were precluding my best workers from doing there job.

In that sort of situation, there is an underlying compact of trust. You do your honest best for your workers. Otherwise, you have no right to expect them to do their best for you. A similar compact of trust should exist between a country's leader and the country's people. I understand you wanting to give your loyalty to the president. Rather than chastise you for it, I praise you.

until then I am against you.

I am not so much "against you", as furious at my government. Much of my anger stems from my assessment that Bush & Co. have violated that trust. But that is

comparisons of saddam Hussein and Hitler merit no response.
