>>>Prepare for a new wave of terrorism on a whole new level and Gary Hart and others have recently concluded our Homeland is NOT secure<<<

Think about this. The 101st Airborne--I've been writing about this for weeks, folks!--is not ready. Only two of its ships have been offloaded. The plan is to begin th war and the other half will catch up. Great planning, huh?

The Fourth Army division, meanwhile, has the most sophisticated equipment. Where is it? It's equipment sitting off the coast of Turkey, it's personnel still here in America.

I heard on the CNN today that America's top three military divisions aren't war theater ready. I heard the day before that the charge will be led by the 7th Calvary, the force which General Custer commanded. Let's hope this is not a bad sign!

Where once the FoxNews talking heads cheerleadingly told us "we've got Turkey to the north and the Saudis to the south," we today have neither. Everything's gonna leapfrog from out of Kuwait, a nation not large enough to handle all that we should, perhaps need, to put into the war.

Is the above cause for concern? You bet!

Meanwhile, there's this issue of Homeland Security. Well, do some searching around the cities of America. Pick up the phone and call the respective mayors. What will they tell you? They're not fully prepared for emergency responses given large elements of their emergency response teams have been called up for the war.

Maybe we should double and triple up on duct tape.

I've said it before and am saying it again. Bush in true bully fashion wants to attack Iraq not because it is a "threat" but because it is quite weak after its defeat in 1991 and 12 years of genocidal sanctions. Plus the country is wracked by fierce ethnic divisions.
