Jerry, I'm thinking about the nightmare scenario no one has discussed.

When was the last time a city of 5.5 million was attacked and its leadership government taken or killed? Actually, with the No-Fly zones, the city's population could even be larger, given folks fled those areas.

My concern is the US gets an easy romp to the outskirts of Baghdad. Then what? Stalingrad revisited, or a state of seige?

If the latter and the US forces are camped on the outskirts of Baghdad, what then happens should both Syria and Iran, fearing they are naturally next on Bush's hit list, decide the present US military alignment is weaker than any alignment that'll appear against them in the future, that, for those nations, it's now or never, and they decide to engage the war when the US is weakest militarily?

Is not the above sceanrio a risk, a danger to the roll-out strategy of the radical fundamentalists now perched in the White House, now telling seasoned generals to go with what they've got instead of what they'd wish?
