Clapper, What a beautiful day - took Lucille the Family Laborador x-country skiing again. It was actually hot with the sun reflecting off the snow. There's still a firm base of snow with 3 inches of soft snow on top - perfect for skiing. The snow line has receded from all the trees and you can actually see the grass. Lucille jumped into the stream that crosses the course and thrashed around in the water - then comes rocketing up the bank and out across the snow again. I stopped several times just to enjoy the views - beautiful blue skies, bright warm sun, great day to be alive. For a moment in the sunshine, I forgot what was going on in the world....those moments are important. Altair19
