The ADA (Americans for Democratic Action) gives Kerry a 85% rating on his 2002 voting record. Kennedy gets a perfect 100%, Daschle 85%, Feinstein 80%, Boxer 90% and Edwards 70%. McCain gets a 20%.

Kerry voted AGAINST Kennedy on Iraq, will not support Kennedy on his pet cause nationalized health care or stricter gun control, will NOT move to the left with Kennedy and really wouldn't care how Kennedy votes these days. Kerry was a major war hero unlike Kennedy, and not a drinker or a womanizer like Kennedy. They're two different people, but their last names do start with K and they're Democrats.

You wish Bush were running against Teddy Kennedy but he's not. Kerry is his own man all the way and you'll see that more and more and more. He'll represents moderatives, many conservatives and people from all states with common sense and measured unifying stances.

We have gone through this silly argument many times. I know it's all you have on Kerry to try and associate him with Kennedy's drinking and womanizing but that dog dont hunt. Just a silly smear attempt.

Kerry has just as much in common regarding his votes with any other Democrat as Kennedy. Just as any Republican has many votes in common with any other Republican. The DEmcorats tried this too trying to tie every GOP candidate to Newt Gingrich. But then at least Gingrinch was running the congress. Kennedy isn't running much of anything anymore. He's just an old lion who is close to the end.
Kennedy is the past. Kerry is the prsent and future.
