THAT'S how relevant the UN is. Even Clinton, one of its supposed supporters, paid little attention to it. Even Kofi, who now wants the US HUNG, said it was not necessary to go to the UN to stop someone like Saddam.

I'm a hawk & I agree with you. The UN serves a valuable purpose & must remain strong.

It is not an institution well geared to determining whether a war should happen or not, though.

When they wanted to build nuclear power plants in small towns, many of which had backward populations relative to education and economics, because they wanted to do this so badly there was no hesitancy whatsoever to crush the concept of home rule.

Hello Seabrook where there has been over the years 70 or more town meeting votes opposing the nuke plant. But the GOPside court ruled only one vote was valid: when two of three town selection got cozy with the builder and voted to cede two parcels of land from the town into the control of the nuke builder. Goodbye home rule!
