A lot of non rich have a big chunk of their wealth in stocks, even in this bear market. A lot of those stocks don't pay dividends but that is mainly because dividends are currently tax disadvantaged right now.


You think people who work at the local car plant or at the local have a lot of dividend paying stock? I suspect your right only if their companies provide them some kind of 401 stock plan and from what I understand that's not all that common.

If you want the GOP to be a friend of the working class, you've got to understand the financial structure of that class. Another Republican, M. Antoinette, clearly didn't understand the finances of France's working class, and got her head handed to her on a plate. <g>
