Yup. And it's also outrageous that Bush can continue to support the brutal Sharon in Israel and not be called on the carpet for this.

Saddam gone and the conditions will be right for Bush to apply pressure on Israel for a just settlement with the Palestinians. We've only heard hints so far.

Of course, all the democrats, with their newly-discovered Jewish heritage will then make a big stink about Bush not supporting Israel enough, but that won't stop him. Remember, EVERYTHING changed after 9/11. Bush is no longer content with just continuing the same old failed policies because it's politically safer that way.

Tom Friedman wrote today that Tony Blair is the real visionary in all this. Maybe he is, but there's a reason he has stuck with Bush through this, in spite of the risk to his political career.
