Everyone's sour on Davis now. 35 billion will do that. But I strongly object to anyone blaming him for the energy crisis. In that respect he was the victim not the perp. In other respects perhaps he did mismanage. I dont know the details. But again, most states have similar problems, and if Davis gets blamed so should the GOP Texas governor. Just as bad over there. And they benefitted from the energy gougings, but their boys control the country now.

Boxer may be someone who could be beaten, but only by a charismatic Republican with a winning Bush in 2004. Otherwise, Boxer though clearly liberal, is a tough little lady with a very strong base. I haven't heard about any misdeeds from her. Feinstein is a truly amazing woman. If she weren't a Jewish woman they'd want her to run for the White House. gg.
