>>>In 1989, the State Department released a report that described in gruesome detail Iraq?s violation of human rights, specifically how Iraq?s President Saddam Hussein tortured his own people for allegedly being disloyal.

But despite the atrocities outlined in the report, which President Bush now refers to when speaking about his desire to remove Hussein from power, the United States, under the first Bush Administration, refused to vote in favor of a United Nations resolution calling for an inquiry into Iraq?s treatment of its population and possibly indicting Hussein for war crimes and human rights abuses.

The two people most vocal about refusing to go along with the U.N. investigation are now lobbying for a U.N. resolution authorizing an invasion of Iraq and are highly critical of the countries that refuse to back a U.S. led coalition to use military force to remove Hussein from power. Those men are Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage.<<<

Good point. The Jewish conspirists traditionally blamed the Jews for the leftwing policies of Clinton, but now blame them for the rightwing policies of Bush. Germans did the same repeatedly in a constant desire to find scapegoats for what they perceived to be their ills.

i don't see the world in 2 monolithic blocks as you do: "left" and "right".
those categories born out of the French Revolution are nowadays meaningless, have been emptied of all meaning by excessive usage, changing realities and because they were always relative to geographical location.
their lack of descriptive value is evident in this case, that's why you don't understand how people of very different political ideas can coincide in opposing this ill-advised, delirious, illegal, military adventure.
how do you explain that Joseph Lieberman, democratic candidate and "liberal" or somewhat "leftist" in your description *DOES* want war against Iraq (and Iran, and Syria, and Saudi Arabia, and whatever comes next that remotely threatens the israeli theocratic regime)?
in your view liberal/leftists are not supposed to favor war, but Lieberman does.
US administrations of all colors have been arming the israeli regime to the teeth since its inception.
no left or right, democratic or republican, liberal or conservative differences there.
now imagine: Iraq, humiliated because under foreign military occupation for maybe forever, their oil fields and revenues under foreign control, legitimate attempts at resistance by the natives against this being suffocated as "terrorism", etc, and... jew Joseph Lieberman as president of the US.
the takeover not just of Iraq but of the USA will be complete and also very visible (too visible), it's an alarming but possible scenario.
the arab world will be delighted and ecstatic, i'm sure they will become fanatically pro-american.
thanks to "9/11", jewish agitators have been able to convince/manipulate the not very bright and misguided current president to use american armed forces as mercenaries to fight their wars, merging USA/Israel in a warm, disinterested embrace to achieve a supposedly common objective.

<<To anticipate U.S. reactions and plan ways to manage and constrain those reactions, Prime Minister [...] can formulate the policies and stress themes he favors in language familiar to the Americans by tapping into themes of American administrations during the Cold War which apply well to Israel. If Israel wants to test certain propositions that require a benign American reaction, then the best time to do so is [...]>>
