In general, France has had nothing but contempt for the US for decades. It's always been a mystery to me not only why they have this attitude, but why millions of Americans continue to view France favorably, spending millions on tourism there. However, it seems that this paradoxical relationship is coming to an end. America will finally return to France the contempt it has shown us for years. I just wish the W won't cause others to gravitate towards France with our bumbling unilateral foreign policy.
