Merrill says continue to sell into equity rallies By Tomi Kilgore
Richard Bernstein, chief U.S. strategist at Merrill Lynch, said equity investors should continue to sell into rallies. He feels the fact that investors are questioning whether the rally in stocks last Thursday "seems evidence enough to us that it probably has not." Bernstein noted that bull markets have rarely begun in the past with equities as the asset class of choice. "We continue to believe that there is considerably more downside risk than upside risk to the equity market," Bernstein said in a note to clients.
