Funny you should mention unintended consequences. The reason women want the choice to themselves is because they feel men aren't owning their share of the responsibility. The "choice" then becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy, for with the existence of the "choice," men now feel even less obligated to share the burden.

Those who think they're just advocating a "choice," not abortion itself should beware, for the choice itself is already making abortions more common (not to mention the unwanted pregnancies themselves).
