Not even the PRETEXT of "unity" from the anti-American left this time. Clinton News Network will bring on a slimy anti-US Senator to trash Bush after his speech. We've come a long way from 91101. The left could FAKE "unity" then, because they had themselves still convinced that the 1 to 2 million votes they fabricated in 2000 were REAL PEOPLE, and that Bush was hanging by a thread. Different story today: The Democrats have clung to treason for better or worse. They DESPERATELY need Saddam to win the war. They can't AFFORD to fake "unity", because the anti-American left is far too committed emotionally to the destruction of America to even PRETEND they don't support Saddam. In other words, the left is rapidly swirling down the toilet of history, flushed by a new American HERO, George Bush. AND there's NOTHING they can do about it. Every bomb that drops on Iraq in the next few days/weeks might as well be dropping in Terry McAullife and the Democratic headquarters. As they say: "LET'S ROLL!!!"...

I believe the issue is much broader than the question of people not wanting to be on the Dole(but those who do like the dole represent a problem indeed, and the "factional power" argument doesn't mitigate it logically at all). There are many areas in which government is using our money and acting, I believe, unconstitutionally to our detriment despite all good intent. If something is up for grabs from Government, all the competing factions in the world will not mitigate the fact that the people are still taxed and will almost certainly be significantly harmed for it(despite all good intent to provide for the common good), whoever the winner may be, and no matter how stiff the competition. We'll have to agree to disagree I'm sure though, as one unconstitutional government program I believe is harming our country greatly in many many ways is the War on Drugs(and we have visited this issue before, to no avail). Suffice it to say that our children's mettle is being formed in an all too significant extent by Druglords, thanks solely to the failure to legalize items that are making Druglords wealthy entrepreneurs who hang out virtual Help Wanted signs in High Schools across our Country. I may not have convinced you before of this, but I myself remain QUITE sure this is God's truth, and a major thrust of the Drug Culture would end virtually overnight if only folks like you realized that, Freedom Works(even on this issue), Dan B
