It's one thing that 44% believe that at least some of the hijackers were Iraqis. It's amazing, it's disappointing but I understand the psychology of association and repetition.

These conservatives cannot possibly be so stupid as to belive that the issue of the IAEA reports was a clerical error. It is inconceivable!

That only other possibility is that they are just flat out lying. You and I may find it disturbing that such people would repeatedly lie, but the Bush Administration is repeatedly lying. Why would we possibly believe that Neocon or jlallen have any higher standard?

This was in the Washington Times:

The article by Mr. Evans says: "Jay Davis, an American expert working for the U.N. special commission charged with removing Iraq's nuclear capability, said Iraq was only six months away from the large-scale production of enriched uranium at two plants inspected by UN officials."

I suppose that some staffer hyped this as being reported from the special commission, and the origin was obscured. It is ludicrous to suppose that the Administration would deliberately lie about something bound to be corrected by the IAEA.
