Poet: Read the article. We'll I agree with Shultz in that diplomacy needs to be cultivated. In this case thats Powell's job but I'd say there have been quite a few diplomatic blunders by the administration. They are too straightforward @ times and career diplomats seem surprised when they don't compromise. For the rest it confirms my position France and others should not have voted the first time if they were not behind the US position. By back tracking they have given Sadamn hope (false or not to be determined). Notice I don't say boycott German or Russian goods. Just the French for exposing us to this added risk.
