its funny reap I had this conv with someone this weekend, pointing out Inflation and moderatly higher rates is better for housing then is lower rates, and a deteriorating econ. Inflation bails out the Indebted, whille deflation criples them.

i can happily report FHV - the Free Housing Virus - has spread north and crossed the 49th parallel. we just bought a preconstruction view property in the Vancouver equivalent of, say, central park west, for 0 down and a no-qual mortgage on the principal. the day after we signed they jacked up the prices on remaining units due to "unprecedented demand".

i'm a firm believer that when someone asks you to gamble with their money, you have to do the neighborly thing and take them up on it.
