Not sure I've ever heard Bush described as 'brilliant'. He is, IMHO, focused, relentless, uncomplicated, and (seemingly) moral. However, that is somewhat offset by the fact that he is (again, IMHO) single-minded, noncomtemplative, of average intellect, and narrow. He will forever be known as the 'black and white' president.

He is a lot like Patton, IMHO. What we need is Eisenhower.
