Well, now wait a minute. How was the question worded? I would rather have seen a positive UN vote. But now that the CinC has made the decision, I (and a good portion of that 50 percent) do not 'oppose' a war. I'd like to see that same poll in a few days, when the war starts, and I bet the percentage of 'opposed' goes way down.

Some of these poll questions are deceiving...

<A CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released on Monday found that 50 percent of Americans would oppose a war if the United States attacked Iraq without a new U.N. vote, while 47 percent would approve of war. The margin of error was 3 percentage points in the poll of 1,129 likely voters, taken March 14 and 15.
* Not surprisingly, the country is evenly split. >

Let's do that poll again tonight. My bet 85-90% approve. The man may be simple minded but he's a genius when it comes to honor and integrity. Something that has been missing in Washington for too long.
